Scholarships Available
Beginning Fall 2025, accepted students can receive up to $5,000 in tuition assistance. This option is not available to advanced standing students at this time.
Why You Should Apply
As a Connecticut ¡Adelante! student, you will:
- Strengthen your language and bicultural skills with specialized bi-lingual courses
- Gain practical experience by interning at local community-based organizations and agencies that serve Spanish-speaking communities
- Prepare for a career serving the mental health needs of Spanish-speaking youth and families in Connecticut
Student Eligibility
- Individuals, Groups, and Families on-campus students entering foundation year in the Fall semester
- Resident of Connecticut
- Reside in Alliance School District as designated by the Connecticut State Department of Education or financially eligible, Federal Pell Grant
- Have a current salary below Connecticut’s living wage as identified by the MIT Living Wage Calculator
- Overall GPA 3.0 or higher
- Pass language proficiency test
Application Deadline:
- December 10th: Returning students should complete the application
- February 15th: Students entering foundation year practicum.

- Prospective students applying to the MSW program have the option to select a stipend program during the application process. It is important to thoroughly review the programs and eligibility criteria as only one program can be chosen. In addition to meeting the standard application requirements, applicants must also complete essay #2. Notifications about the stipend program will be sent separately from the MSW application decision, between March and April. The stipend program decision is independent of the MSW application decision.
