Who Should Apply
Advanced Standing is a study option for students who achieved a high level of academic performance in both classroom and field education during their undergraduate social work studies. To qualify, you must have received a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree within the last six years from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Students who choose this option must have their BSW degree conferred before the start of their Advanced Standing program. If you qualify, courses from the foundation phase of the MSW degree will be waived and you will begin the MSW program in mid-July.
