Child Advocacy Center Program

Program Background

In collaboration with the Connecticut Children's Alliance, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Program aims to enhance the workforce and ultimately reduce child abuse and generational trauma among children and youth in Connecticut. Students will develop specialized knowledge, skills, and training in child abuse prevention and the provision of comprehensive, multidisciplinary, community-based services to child victims and their families. The seven students selected will complete a year-long practicum at a Connecticut Child Advocacy Center. Students can indicate their preference for the CAC location; however, it is not guaranteed.
