Cheryl Parks

Professor Emerita 


Cheryl A. Parks began her tenure with UConn School of Social Work as an assistant professor in 1999. She taught, initially, in the Casework, Foundation Practice, Substance Abuse and Research Methods curricula areas of the MSW program. As a founding member of the Ph.D. Program in 2001, she taught research and statistical methods. In 2009, she was appointed professor and associate dean for research, a position she held until her retirement in 2013. She served as Principle or co-Investigator on 19 funded research projects and authored numerous journal articles and chapters in the areas of alcohol use and lesbian identity development.
