Michael Fendrich

Professor Emeritus


Michael Fendrich is a community psychologist with a postdoctoral MS in biostatistics.

He has over three decades of research experience mainly focused on issues related to substance abuse and behavioral health. His work focuses on health service delivery, intervention, prevention, and epidemiology.

An experienced survey researcher, his work has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute on Justice, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Dr. Fendrich served as Associate Dean for Research at the UConn School of Social Work from 2014-2022.
