Misty Ginicola, PhD

Misty M. Ginicola, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Counseling and School Psychology department at Southern Connecticut State University and a Research Associate at Yale University. Her research interests are focused on multicultural competence in counseling. Dr. Ginicola has numerous publica­tions and presents on social justice advocacy, teaching multicultural competence, creative coun­seling strategies and counseling for the LGBTQ+ population. She teaches courses in school and clinical counseling and psychology, with a focus on Diagnosis, Multicultural Counseling and Research.
