Shane M. Scott


Shane M. Scott, LCSW, is a seasoned clinician and advocate with 19 years of experience in human services and over 12 years in clinical social work. As a queer-identified therapist, Shane provides specialized and culturally competent care to the LGBTQIA+ community, drawing on both professional expertise and personal understanding. Shane earned their MSW from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2012 and has dedicated their career to fostering healing and empowerment. Since 2005, Shane has worked with diverse populations, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. With a particular passion for supporting individuals exploring their gender and sexual identities, Shane creates a safe and affirming space for clients to navigate their unique journeys. Shane’s commitment extends beyond individual therapy to include facilitating workshops, coaching professionals, and contributing to the field as a current adjunct professor. Outside of their professional life, Shane enjoys music, movies, travel, and physical fitness.
